1. What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is the art of enhancing your natural features by gently implanting pigment into the skin. It helps define, shape, and highlight areas like eyebrows, eyes, and lips.
It’s also a valuable treatment for camouflaging scars, correcting asymmetries, and restoring youthful balance to your features.
2. What makes Art Touch by Amiros different from others?
At Art Touch, Amiros specializes in creating truly natural results.
Your safety and satisfaction always come first. We use only the safest, highest-quality pigments that meet strict European regulations. These pigments are specially designed for permanent makeup.
With 5 years of experience working in Dubai (2009–2014), Amiros gained deep knowledge of different skin types and beauty preferences, helping him understand each client’s needs since starting here in Sweden in 2015.
3. How do we decide on the shape and color?
With years of experience, Amiros recommends the shape and colors that suit your skin tone, hair color, age, and lifestyle.
Before starting, the shape is carefully drawn with a pencil based on your features, and we never start the treatment until we both agree that the shape and color are perfect for you.
4. Why choose permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is ideal if you:
✔ Have sparse brows or lashes
✔ Have difficulty applying makeup due to vision issues
✔ Exercise a lot or have watery eyes
✔ Have hair loss due to illness
✔ Simply want to save time getting ready in the morning
5. Is permanent makeup the same as a regular tattoo?
Not really. While the concept is similar, permanent makeup uses special tools, techniques, and pigments designed for delicate skin and natural-looking results. It’s safe, sterile, and much gentler on the skin.
6. What’s the difference between machine technique and microblading?
The machine technique uses tiny, fast-moving needles to implant pigment evenly without damaging the skin.
Microblading, on the other hand, cuts the skin with tiny blades. That’s why we don’t perform microblading — it’s not safe for your skin in the long term.
7. Why don’t we offer microblading?
Even if microblading is done by skilled artists, the fact remains: it cuts the skin again and again. Over time, this risks permanent damage and scarring.
Even the best surgeons can’t cut skin repeatedly without leaving marks. We believe in safer, healthier methods for beautiful results.
8. Does it hurt?
We use effective numbing during your treatment to make sure you’re comfortable throughout. Most clients find the treatment very manageable.
If you’re getting brows or lips done, you can also apply Emla or Tapin numbing cream 1–2 hours before your appointment (available at any pharmacy). It’s optional, but can help if you’re sensitive.
9. Will I feel any discomfort?
We use two-step numbing:
1️⃣ First, we apply a topical cream to reduce sensitivity.
2️⃣ During the treatment, we use a stronger numbing gel.
Most people feel only mild tingling or slight discomfort, if anything at all.
10. How should I prepare before my appointment?
✔ Be healthy. If you’re sick or on antibiotics, please reschedule.
✔ Avoid alcohol, recreational drugs, or strong medications 48 hours before.
✔ Don’t tan for 48 hours beforehand.
✔ Avoid blood-thinning medications (Aspirin, Ipren, Omega 3) 4 days before. Paracetamol is fine.
✔ Don’t pluck, wax, or dye your brows for at least 6 days before.
✔ Make sure the skin is free from irritation, acne, or eczema in the treatment area.
11. Can I go to work after the treatment?
Absolutely! You may experience some slight redness or swelling right after, but this usually settles within a few hours.
Some pigment residue may be visible for a few days as your skin heals.
12. Can something go wrong?
We spend extra time before the treatment discussing shape and color with you.
I always draw the shape first and show you several color options. We don’t start until you feel confident and happy. Your comfort and trust matter most.
13. What’s the healing process like?
You might notice slight redness or swelling for about 24 hours.
A cold compress can help reduce swelling, especially around the eyes.
The treated area must be kept clean and dry, and no makeup should be used for several days.
It’s normal to experience light flaking and softening of the color during healing.
14. How do I care for it afterward?
For the first week:
✔ Apply a thin layer of Vaseline 4–5 times a day.
✔ Avoid sun exposure, saunas, pools, and heavy sweating.
✔ Keep showers short and gentle.
✔ Don’t use makeup or harsh skincare on the area.
✔ Always use high SPF (30–50) once healed.
Following these steps is key to beautiful, lasting results.
15. How long will the results last?
Results vary depending on your skin type, lifestyle, age, and immune system.
On average, we recommend a color refresh after 1–2 years to keep the result fresh.
Clients with alopecia or faster skin renewal may need touch-ups sooner.
16. What pigments do you use?
We only use EU-approved, medical-grade, hypoallergenic pigments to ensure safety and high-quality results.
17. Do I need to shave my eyebrows before treatment?
Not at all! Your natural brow hairs add to the beautiful 3D effect.
We’ll only remove stray hairs outside your new shape.
18. Can I get permanent makeup if I recently had Botox?
Please wait at least 2 weeks after Botox, fillers, or chemical peels before your PMU appointment.
19. Can I get permanent makeup while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No, we don’t perform treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Your body is more sensitive to infections, and hormonal changes can affect the final result. It’s better to wait until later.
